ISCTE, a medium-sized public higher education institution, composed of 4 Schools, 16 Departments and 8 Research Units is a centre of knowledge and prides itself on being one of the most dynamic and innovative universities in Portugal.

With approximately 10,000 students, 390 full-time teaching staff, 390 researchers and 270 non-teaching staff, ISCTE needed to invest in a new agile ERP solution in order to release the teaching staff to their main purpose of teaching and researching, as well as having available, in time, all the KPI’s and reports needed for its management.

This decision, for a new ERP and specialized consultancy, was made by the management team chaired by the dean Dr. Maria de Lurdes Rodrigues, at the end of a public tender procedure which started in 2019.

This new ERP acquired from Quidgest is a full Web ERP mobile ready solution that allows for remote work in its simplest form. It will replace the old SAP on-premises solution  and will manage all the complexities of strategic areas such as Finance, Logistics, HR, Projects, Contracts and Sales and Services. The new ERP will also integrate seamlessly with all other existing solutions, namely the academic management one.

Quidgest is a Portuguese company since 1988, with projects all over the world, known by its unique way of automatically generate software code, based solely on the models needed for the fulfilment of all the requisites presented by the customers. Not only the deployment is made in 1/10 of typical market time, but it also assures full flexibility for future legislative or operational changes.
