Q-Day 2024 about generative AI

17.SEPT.2024 | Culturgest – LISBON
(Hybrid event)

Imagem Quidgest Q-day 2024, IA Generativa

After last year’s success with the theme “Decoding Generative AI”, the Q-Day Conference is back to explore everything that remains to be said and implemented in this field. That’s why this year’s 15th edition of Q-Day brings the theme “Generative AI: from Buzz to Business” to the stage.

ABOUT THIS EDITION

In 2023, we discovered that Generative AI is doubly decodable: on the one hand, it’s not magic, but a science and skill that everyone can understand and use; on the other, it automates software development, shifting the focus away from coding (decoding), freeing people and organizations for more strategy, solutions, and results.

This edition goes far beyond prompts, LLM, and NLP, among other current buzzwords. We will not merely discuss what Generative AI is and how it has exponentially evolved in the past two years. Instead, we will demonstrate practical and real applications of how this technology is being used to create value and drive innovation, efficiency, skills, and sustainable growth in Portugal and worldwide.

4 PANELS FOR AN OVERVIEW OF GENERATIVE AI

PANEL 1 (09:40 am – 11:00 am)

Generative AI: Global Vision with Local Execution (PT)

This panel presents a comprehensive view of how Generative AI is redefining organizational strategies and influencing the global economy, whether in planned or unexpected, but almost always significant ways.

We will explore how the implementation of this technology has reshaped universal concepts of management, competitiveness, strategy, and innovation; how it profoundly impacts countries, communities, and specific goals; and how we can all thrive and create value by adopting best practices, using emerging tools, and understanding new business, social, and technological paradigms.

PANEL 2 (11:00 am – 12h00 pm)

Generative AI: Purpose and Value for Society (PT)

This panel will discuss how Generative AI is being used to purposefully lead the transformation of public services and the relationship with citizens – as well as with companies committed to corporate social responsibility, non-governmental organizations, foundations, and other actors actively contributing to social value creation and promoting a fairer and more accessible future for all.

We will present practical success stories and demonstrate the positive and tangible impact of Generative AI in areas ranging from health to education, including culture, environment, sustainability, and social assistance.

PANEL 3 (02:30 pm – 03:30 pm)

Generative AI: Business and Innovation Ecosystems (EN)

This panel explores how Generative AI opens new possibilities for innovation, value creation, networking, and attracting investment for startups and established companies.

Come and learn from success stories shared by entrepreneurs, founders, incubators, investors, science and technology parks, CEO, business leaders, and professionals from various fields, who share different perspectives and ways to integrate and capitalize on Generative AI in operational practices to solve complex problems, explore new models of collaboration and sustainable growth, disrupt traditional business areas or create new market niches.

PANEL 4 (04:45 pm – 05:45 pm)

Generative AI: Future-Proof Skills (EN)

This panel focuses on the ongoing skills revolution and the redefinition of the roles of universities and companies, which are becoming increasingly close, collaborative, and dedicated to valuing critical thinking, upskilling, reskilling, and “learning by doing”.

We will also explore how citizen developers embody the democratization of knowledge and the creation of digital solutions that go beyond the traditional boundaries (and limitations) of IT, incorporating more professionals from different business areas with greater adaptability and resilience needed to face today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.

TRUE INNOVATION ON THE Q-DAY STAGE

The future is technologically promising, and there are huge gains and positive impacts in areas such as health, education, the economy, transportation, communication, and sustainability. AI-powered companies are increasing, and AI specialists are multiplying. Everything we see and hear seems to have been generated using AI. However, only some things seem to be.

Now, more than ever, we need to distinguish the pioneers from those who ride the hype, separate true innovation from marketing hype, and reward the projects that truly change the world from those that remain promises or opportunistic. If in doubt, sign up for this year’s Q-Day and discover the differences!
