Quidgest and SPOT Nordic establish strategic partnership to strengthen Scientific Diplomacy and Innovation between Portugal and the Nordic Countries
Quidgest and SPOT Nordic – the Association of Portuguese Graduates and Researchers in the Nordic Countries, have signed a strategic partnership to foster scientific research, knowledge sharing, and innovation between Portugal and the Nordic region.
Effective from 2024 to 2026, this partnership marks a significant milestone in strengthening ties between the two regions through advancements in science and technology. It introduces a range of initiatives designed to enhance the visibility and professional development of the Portuguese community in the Nordic Countries.
Key initiatives of this partnership include:
Research grants: Quidgest will fund research grants totaling €7,000 to support Portuguese researchers in technological projects. These grants aim to foster knowledge transfer and innovative research in fields such as computer science, software development, and artificial intelligence, strengthening the ties between academic and professional communities in Portugal and the Nordic Countries.
Event organization: The partnership will include co-organizing various initiatives, including an annual event that will bring together academics and professionals to promote networking, collaboration, and innovation between Portugal and the Nordic region.
Collaboration with Nordic Partners: Through its extensive network, SPOT Nordic will assist Quidgest in identifying strategic partners in the Nordic countries for collaboration on innovation projects, research, and business development.
Logistical support: SPOT Nordic members and partners will benefit from logistical support, including access to Quidgest’s facilities in Lisbon when needed.
