Data Protection Regulation


Following the approval in April 2016 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, organizations must adapt their data protection management practices to ensure they conform the new law.

The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) contains technical and organisational compliance measures which directly affect the activity of organizations and aim to protect the rights of data subjects by assuring a lawful processing and retention of data, the recognition of the right to be forgotten and data portability, the necessity to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO), the obligation to report any data breach to its supervisory authority (DPA) under heavy penalty sanctions.

Quidgest Data Protection Management
